This film suffers greatly by trying to use the name and character “Clouseau”. And thereby be expected to live up to the high standard of the Pink Panther series. It is impossible to do that without Peter Sellers!What is also missing is that the great Blake Edwards did not direct this film. (For those who don’t know: Blake Edwards wrote and directed almost every film in the series. He was just as important to their success as Sellers.)
