HD ESTERNO 160 GB come mantenerlo in buone condizioni?

Ciao a tutti ragazzi !
Ho comprato un Hd Esterno da 160 gb di quelli
da 3'5 pollici . Siccome è importantissimo x me perchè
contiene dati Compromettenti

sapete darmi qualche
dritta (tipo libretto di istruzioni) su come mantenerlo in buone condizioni
fino all'ultimo secondo possibile ??
