come salvare i film da mediacenter?


salve!

non so se è il post giusto... cmq mi sto informando su come utilizzare al meglio mediacenter e la web tv.
ad esempio ho trovato su mediacenter un canale che fa horror film (http://retrovision.tv) ma a questo punto ecco un nuovo problema : se trovo qualcosa che mi interessa come faccio a salvarlo?
ho provato questo metodo trovato sul forum :

Aprite VideoLan, File->Apri File->Rete cliccate su http e incollate nello spazio l'url che dovete registrare,
in basso selezionate trasmissione in uscita e cliccate su impostazioni
cliccate su riproduci localmente, su file, su registra l'entrata e su sfoglia.. qui scegli la cartella dove salvare il filmato dandogli un nome quellochevuoitù.wmv, clicchi Salva, tornando alla pagina precedente, cliccate su OK, e ancora OK.

ma videolan neanche mi si apre pur seguendo questi dettami. che altro posso fare?

se riesci a prendere il link del canale che ti interessa e vlc riesce a visualizzarlo puoi provare vlc.vcr realizzato da ogher
