Dall'Ungheria un software che fa parlare i cani


Quante volte si sente dire che al tal cane manca solo la parola? Ora i ricercatori dell’università Eotvos Lorand in Ungheria hanno testato un software che promette di dar voce ai cani; pare che il programma sia in grado di comprendere cosa dicono i cani classificando il loro diverso abbaiare a seconda delle situazioni, facendo ricorso a un algoritmo che sa identificare e differenziare le caratteristiche acustiche dell’abbaiare del cane rubricandole secondo i diversi contesti e per ogni animale. Il software ha analizzato più di 6.000 abbaiamenti di 14 cani pastori ungheresi in sei diverse situazioni: «sconosciuto», «lotta», «cammino», «solo», «palla» e «gioco», classificando correttamente i vari abbaiare a seconda delle situazioni nel 43% dei casi. C’è margine per migliorare.
