cfosspeed e router lan

Io ho un router adsl collegato alla scheda di rete ethernet del mio pc con un cavo ethernet/lan. Ho letto che cfosspeed va bene solo con i router collegati al pc tramite cavo-usb è vero? Oppure funziona anche tramite ethernet?
