Mediacenter won't open unless done from browser

The Mediacenter won’t open unless made from my FF Browser.
Shouldn’t it be able to open from either the Quick-launch or Start menu Icon ?
When opened from either of these last ones it opens halfway, as seen on taskmanager, then shuts down.:confused: :eek:
