Tv sul cellullare ora è realtà!

In Italia avverrà nel 2006, per ora è stato firmato un accordo tra Mediaset e TIM per mostrare sul cellulare alcune partite della serie A e della Champions League.

La tecnologia che verrà usata si chiama DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting su Handset, ossia trasmissione da uno a molti).

In poche parole, le emittenti televisive trasmetteranno alcuni canali su tutto il territorio nazionale, raggiungendo in contemporanea gli apparecchi televisivi di casa e i cellulari.

Sarà quindi una Tv a tutti gli effetti, ma sul cellulare, quindi non come gli attuali servizi UMTS che consistono solo in un costoso download di video

La Tv su DVB-H userà una rete dedicata, in cui il segnale cadrà a pioggia sugli utenti, cosi come accade con la Tv normale: chi vuole si sintonizza sui canali.

Ovviamente per poter vedere le partite tramite cellulare è necessario che quest’ultimi siano dotati di un chip che supporti il segnale DVB-H: come il Nokia N92 che uscirà nel prossimo 2006.
