sottotitoli con windows vista

Salve, ho un problema.

ho un portatile con sopra windows vista e non riesco a visualizzare i sottotitoli di un film pur avendo il file avi ed il file .srt corrispondente con lo stesso nome, all'interno della stessa cartella; invece sul pc, dove ho windows xp riesco a vederli tranquillamente.

E' un problema di sistemi operativi?
