problema con MediaPlayer

da qualche tempo appena cerco di collegarmi in streaming con PPLive/PPstream il WMediaPlayer termina con messaggio di errore e si chiude. Se lanciato "singolarmente", funziona correttamente. Ho provato a reinstallare la rev10 ma senza risolvere il problema.
Qualche suggerimento? Eventualmente come posso usare VLC con i suddetti programmi (almeno indicatemi un link...ho provato a cercare ma mi sono perso!!)?
