VLC E PeerCast: un binomio che non funziona?

Da poco mi sono dilettato con Peercast, incuriosito da questo fantomatico Caifu Sport (per me è un canale "artigianale") e soprattutto da NBA TV (artigianale credo pure questo).
Ho provato a mettere l'Url preso da WMP per aprire il canale in VLC, ma non parte nulla (Niente VLC=niente registrazioni comode).
Soluzioni ed esperienze?
